Poetry A - E
All Out Of

I am all out of words
No one believes them anymore
I am all out of tears
Eyes ran dry long ago
I am all out of strength
Body begs me to quit
I am all out of spirit
You killed it when you left.

Beautiful Day

Look up into the sky
isn't the blue beautiful
Cottonball clouds drift slowly
shifting form as it goes by

The wind blows through
making leaves flutter
Branches bend and creak
with very little effort

The sun shines brightly
upon the weary faces
Giving up its lifeforce
to the exhausted souls

Beautiful Silence

Snow falls gently
onto frozen ground
Glittering like diamonds
in the moonlight
Beautiful to my eyes
Silence in my ears
Earth at its loveliest
Ugliness forgotten.

Changed

Saw you on the street today
You're still the same as ever
May have noticed I changed

I'm smarter and stronger
Less compromising and forgiving
More forceful and willful

I'm happier and merrier
Less saddened and frightened
More careful and soulful

I'm richer and truer
Less messy and guilty
More spiritual and beautiful

Saw you on the street today
You're still the same as ever
may have noticed I changed

Choice

Take my hand
there is no need
to make promises
I just need
to be cared for
All I need is a pillar
and I chose you

Dust

A warm rain falls
with a gentle patter
that washes away
the endless dust
that has covered
all things gray.

Empty

This body once smiled
but no more
Its last memory
is of endless tears

Emotionally torn apart
Sense of self lost
Time standing still
for an eternity

The soul has departed
this now empty shell
Left by a love
to turn to dust
