Logged into the game

Friday, March 27th, 2009

Logged into the game as Alicity, thinking of just exploring Kalimdor so she can get the explorer title. Got asked by my guild leader if I wanted to heal Gundrak. I said yes, because after all it was my guild leader. It was a group of guildies, so nice people. Yay. We got all the bosses down. I only died twice. But they were both early on. Not too bad. I’m getting better at the healing thing. Healing at 80 is looking like something I will be doing a lot.

What I’ve been up to

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Well, I haven’t done any dungeons or raids since Violet Hold. I’ve got Alicity at 78 yet, and slowing down on leveling with her for now. I decided to play Ionara, since I’ve been neglecting her a bit. I got her to 52 in the past few days, and she’s less than halfway to 53. Yay. I’ve got a quest in her log that needs to get done to get her next minion, which I think is the infernal. I think they are cool looking, so I’m looking forward to that. In a few short levels she’ll be in Outland, and then get her epic mount, which she’s fortunately already got the funds for. It will be nice to get her to 60 and whiz her right through Outland onto Northrend. Hopefully I’ll have her to 80, or at least in Northrend, by her 2nd anniversary of being created (October). I also plan to have Alicity to 80 in about a month. I want her there before my 2 year anniversary of playing WoW and creating her.

Violet Hold

Sunday, March 22nd, 2009

Ran the Violet Hold instance earlier. I was asked by a fellow guildie, Poxo. He was grouped with 3 others, just needed a healer. So I said yes, a bit anxious and nervous. Only one guildie in the group. It’s one thing to fail with your guildies who will try to make you feel better, but to pug is another story.

But we did it! We got all the mobs and bosses! A few of us even dinged, including me, so I’m now 78. A wonderful job was done by Poxo, Samueal, Valefeist and Xandrild.

I’m a healer!

Molten Core

Just 5 manned Ragnaros. Took three times, but got him. So cool!

Cold Weather Flying

Sunday, March 15th, 2009

Well, I dinged 77 last night. Yay! I was doing the Frenzyheart/Oracle quest chain when it happened. So I went and bought cold weather flying even though I don’t have artisan flying yet. I’m about 2300 away from that goal. Why it has to be 5000 gold is beyond me. If they lowered it to even 3000 gold I’d be happy. *sigh*

But the lack of artisan flying is not keeping me from flying. At least I’m in the air and can avoid mobs. That makes travel a little bit easier, even if I’m going slower.

I’ve been doing quests here and there. I just pick up quests if I see a yellow exclamation on the map. Which explains why I’m now hitting Grizzly Hills at level 77. Oh yeah, easy. I like that, and the xp is still plenty high. And yes, I did the poo quest. Lets just say I wanted to get it out of the way.

I think I might stop questing for a little bit and put my attention to mining and skinning so I can make some gold for my artisan flying. Some of the mid to high level ore/bar are fetching a pretty penny on the AH.

2 more raids

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

Last Sunday, my main’s guild tried to run Black Wing Lair, but it bugged on us, so utter fail. Sucks.

Today, not even 5 minutes ago, we ran Onyxia. Finally some success. Maybe we should have started small, but even for a level 60 dungeon that is majorly nerfed, it was a good feeling to bring the bitch down. Yay!

My first Kara

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

Tonight, my guild decided to run Karazhan. I think it was the first time for most of us, including myself. We are not a raiding guild. Which is fine with me. I found it fun, but can’t imagine how hard it was pre-nerf. Alas, it got late for most of us, so we left before we could get to Chess and Prince. They are going to try to finish it tomorrow, but it will be without me since I work. Maybe some other time.

Found out several of my guildies are around my age. I’m 34, and those I ran with were just a few years younger and older. How cool it that?! One was 17, which started the conversation since I exclaimed to him that I was old enough to be his mother. :D

But with the near completion of Kara, I think my phobia towards dungeons might be lessening. I have no trouble taking my warlock into instances, but she’s dps. Healing is scary because so much depends on the healer.

Well, goodnight.
